Celebrating Mitch

Today marks a bittersweet moment for our Fishcare family as we bid farewell to Mitch. Over the years, Mitch has evolved from a dedicated volunteer to taking on the roles of Geelong Facilitator and most recently, Operations Manager.

Mitch’s relationship with Fishcare began in 2013, rooted in his profound love for the outdoors. An enthusiastic fisher and kayaker, Mitch’s happiest moments are those spent on the water, whether with a fishing rod or a paddle in hand. It was this passion that initially led him to our doorstep, seeking to contribute to a cause that mirrored his personal interests and values.

As all journeys must evolve, Mitch is embarking on a new path. While it is with heavy hearts that we see him leave, we recognise that change is an inherent aspect of any career. Tough decisions are often made in pursuit of new directions and opportunities and it is with this understanding that we wish Mitch nothing but the best in his future endeavors.

Mitch’s contribution to Fishcare Victoria is much appreciated. His time, effort, and passion have shaped our programs, outreach and impact on the community. As he moves forward, we celebrate the mark he leaves behind and the positive influence he has had on both our team and the broader community.

Here’s to new beginnings and the exciting next chapter in Mitch’s journey. May it be filled with joy, adventure, and fulfillment. Thank you, Mitch, for everything.

Wishing you all the best, from your friends, volunteers and colleagues at Fishcare Victoria.
