Our volunteers bring fishing education to life, helping people build confidence, enjoy the outdoors and learn to care for our fish and waterways. Whether you’re a keen angler or simply enjoy helping others, there’s a place for you in our community.
You don’t need to be a fishing expert
Patience, curiosity and a welcoming attitude go a long way. We bring together people with different skills and experiences, with induction, training and support to help you get started.
Depending on your interests and local opportunities, you could:
Help at fishing clinics
Welcome participants, prepare equipment and lend a hand as people learn to cast, bait a hook and handle fish responsibly.
Share your knowledge
Help beginners understand fishing tackle, identify their catch and learn about fishing rules and healthy waterways
Support inclusive experiences
Work alongside staff and fellow volunteers to help people of different ages, abilities and backgrounds feel welcome and involved.
Keep things running
Assist with setting up, packing down, organising tackle and caring for equipment.
Support your regional group
Help with local events, community connections and the organisation behind our activities.
We’ll talk with you about your interests, availability and any support you need to find a suitable role.
