A Fun-Filled Day of Fishing at Casey Fields with Fishcare
On Saturday, Fishcare embarked on an exciting trip to Casey Fields for a memorable fishing event with the district’s wonderful Joey Scouts and their families. Despite an early morning fog, the day quickly transformed into a brilliantly sunny morning and early afternoon, creating the perfect backdrop for the event.
Although the fish weren’t biting much, the smiles on the faces of the participants more than made up for it. The day was filled with laughter, a few tears, and plenty of joy.
Our dedicated Fishcare volunteers, Kerry and Ivan, were once again crowd favorites. Ivan, in particular, stole the show by running highly successful casting clinics throughout the event. His dedication and enthusiasm were evident, making the day even more special for everyone involved.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Belinda and Julie from the VFA Events Team for their incredible support. They provided showbags for every participant and a free rod and reel combo for those who didn’t have their own gear. Their contributions ensured that everyone had the equipment needed to fully enjoy the fishing experience.
Overall, the day was a great success, filled with fun, learning, and community spirit. Fishcare looks forward to more events like this, continuing to bring people together through the joy of fishing.
