Volunteer Induction
Each year Fishcare Victoria Staff and Volunteers enjoy the Annual Conference as an opportunity to get together and enjoy guest speakers, service awards, training opportunities and quality time together hosted by one of the six regions. This year however, that conference was cancelled, leaving the opportunity for something a little different during lockdown! Last Saturday the 11th of September Fishcare hosted an online Induction and Training session for all new and existing members to engage with our modules and training tools in preparation for fishing clinic delivery.
All new Fishcare volunteers are given access to the Fishcare Victoria Volunteer Induction on Google Classroom, which features the online learning Modules and a series of training videos, quizzes, and documents for those preparing for the field and supporting participants through the Fishcare Victoria Program.
The Induction and training day was a great success with 9 new and existing volunteers engaging with the activities on the day as we continue to prepare for the Metropolitan Region to come out of lockdown. We would like to thank everyone for their enthusiasm and attendance on the day and we hope you enjoyed the session!
