Celebrating International Women’s Day 2024: A Day Full of Joy and Empowerment

March 8, 2024, marked a significant day in the calendar for Fishcare Victoria, as we celebrated International Women’s Day with a marathon of events stretching from the Bass Coast to Mornington. This year’s celebration was nothing short of extraordinary, with activities running from the early hours of 6 a.m. right through until 10 p.m., including a couple of our signature FishAbility sessions.

The day was a tapestry of pure joy, a celebration of empowerment, camaraderie, and the spirit of the community that words can hardly capture. Instead, we’ve chosen to let the vivid and expressive photos from the day narrate our story, each frame filled with smiles, achievements, and moments of genuine happiness.

At the heart of our events were Kerry Hellsten and Ivan Langerak, whose unwavering support and presence throughout the day were instrumental in making the celebration extra special. Their dedication and spirit are a testament to the incredible community we have fostered at Fishcare Victoria, reminding us once again why we are so fortunate to have them as part of our family.

The day was also graced by the enthusiastic participation of Chrissy Lomagno, Amanda Keilar, Michelle Birchall, Gayelene Sage, and Sally Van Hees, who each brought their unique energy and joy to the celebration. Special mentions go to our friends and supporters from the Bass Coast and Mornington Jetty areas, as well as our dedicated team members and volunteers, including Wirfab, Leanne Ngo, and Jo Fyfe, who contributed significantly to the success of the day.

This year’s International Women’s Day was a reflection of Fishcare Victoria’s commitment to inclusivity, empowerment, and celebrating the remarkable contributions of women in our community.
